First we met Sandy and Emma who spoke to us about the paintings by Martyn Brewster. After that we spoke about how they made us feel and what they reminded us of. Then using that information we wrote poems about our favourites. |
When we were thinking about them, Sandy asked us what tastes, speed and animals they reminded us of. We worked with a partner and came up with some really good verses. Then we went upstairs and started making our own art! Cellophane pictures! |
We made them into different moods and when we had finished we projected them on to the wall and got our photos taken with them. We held up signs to show what moods they represented. After that we did monoprints which were pictures where you rolled blocks of colour onto a sheet of paper and then made different patterns in them with tools. We all agreed that we had a really good time there and we'd love to go back and do some more!
