What a wonderful day we had at Salisbury Cathedral when we attended the Leavers’ Service.  During the morning the pupils took part in art and drama workshops with a drama company, and then brought it all together in the afternoon to form part of the service. The children had lots of fun, and the wonder they experienced at being in the huge cathedral was great to see.
Frankie and Sam B write:
"We went to Salisbury Cathedral on 20th June for the Salisbury Diocese Leavers' Service.  When we got there, we split into two groups - the drama group and the art group.  In the art group, we were painting roots on pieces of silk.  The drama group did some acting - acting that found a magical place and pretended to be a root.  In the afternoon, all of the year 6s put on a play from the leavers' service and, when the play and the service was done, we all paraded out into the garden and the bishop said a few words."
