Burton Talks
Thu 09 Feb 2023The children who participated in the first ever 'Burton Talks' did themselves, and me, proud! They spoke confidently and showed that they had really thought about what they wanted to say. The topics covered were American Jeeps, Music, Sign Language, Roblox, Cranes and Cats. The children who wanted to come and listen were really respectful and supportive and showed true 'Burton' spirit by cheering each other on and congratulating each other. The date for the next talk will be decided after half term so get your thinking caps on and decide what you would like to talk about!

We are becoming a Unicef UK Rights Respecting School!
Fri 14 Jan 2022Burton Bradstock CE Primary aims to be a school where children’s rights are at the heart of our ethos and culture, to improve wellbeing and to develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential. As part of this plan, we are working towards recognition as a ‘Rights Respecting School’, an award given to schools on behalf of Unicef UK.
Unicef is the world’s leading organisation working for children and young people and their rights. In 1989, governments across the world agreed that all children have the same rights by adopting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). These rights are based on what a child needs to survive, grow, participate and fulfil their potential.
Our pupils will learn about their rights by putting them into practice every day. A Rights Respecting School models rights and respect in all its relationships.
We really hope that you will be able to support our school on our journey towards becoming a Unicef UK Rights Respecting School. It would be great if you could spend a few minutes reading through the questions & answers on the next page, and you can also find out more about the Convention on the Rights of the Child by visiting unicef.org.uk/crc.

Advent Windows
Fri 17 Dec 2021We are so proud of the beautiful window display our Wagtail and Owl students created this year! The theme for our village was 'Giving is at the Heart of Christmas' so we have angels, who are at the heart of the Nativity story, crowned by the windows filled with hearts.
You can see the other windows in the trail at the village website: Advent Windows 2021 | BB Village (burtonbradstockvillage.org)
